Project Emerge, originally conceived at Johns Hopkins, seeks to redesign the ICU to better meet the needs of patients and their families, and also transform the way we think about health in the ICU. With support from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, UCSF has assembled a transdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, engineers, patient/family advisors and administrators to design and implement Emerge at UCSF.
